In 1953 the United States Air Force begin the Project Silver Bug, which was the American “black project” version of the Canadian Y-2 Avro Aircraft. Project Silver Bug was a code name that was given to a prototype of disk-shaped aircraft built in Malton, Ontario, Canada for the US military by Avro Aircraft Ltd.
